Rhys

Director

With over 6 years of experience in the disability sector, Director, Rhys Anderson has a vast range of experience supporting NDIS participants to achieve their goals. Having completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science in 2019 at Deakin University, Rhys then went on to manage a team of Peer Mentors at another NDIS service provider before deciding to commence operations with Empower Possibility Supports (EPS) in 2022. Outside of EPS, Rhys loves sports, in particular footy, cricket and basketball. He also loves hanging out with friends, collecting vinyls, board games, and exercise. Rhys loves being able to work with a passionate team of dedicated Peer Mentors at EPS and he loves being able to see the gradual growth in participants in working towards their goals as well as building their overall capacity.

Ethan

Administration

Ethan has completed a Certificate III in Community Services in 2021. Ethan has also volunteered in the industry prior to commencing at EPS. In his spare time, Ethan enjoys video gaming, reading, anime, hanging out with friends and family, as well as watching TV shows/movies. Ethan loves working in administration as he enjoys working to help everyone in the Peer Mentor Team and hopes for this to be a stepping stone towards more career opportunities in the future.

Abbey

Peer Mentor

Abbey is excited to bring a passion for community involvement and her love for art and fashion into her role as a Peer Mentor. With a personal background in disability, Abbey is committed to making a difference. Her love for creativity, movies, concerts, and drawing enriches her interactions with participants. Abbey looks forward to offering support and serving as a role model as she helps participants pursue their goals.

Anastacia

Alivia

Peer Mentor

Alivia is 19 years old and has been a Peer Mentor with EPS since April 2023. Alivia has recently commenced studying a Diploma of Mental Health. Alivia loves music, the environment, art, going to the gym, and sports in general, in particular basketball. Alivia has a long-term goal of becoming a firefighter in the years to come and is currently completing her CFA training. Alivia is very passionate about supporting her
participants to develop independence and is looking forward to giving back to the
community.

Anastacia

Peer Mentor

Anastacia is currently studying for a Diploma of Mental Health to further enhance her ability to support and engage with her participants. Alongside her professional pursuits, she has a deep passion for music, enjoying activities like playing guitar, singing, and songwriting. Anastacia aspires to complete a music therapy course to integrate her love of music into her work. When she’s not working or studying, Anastacia enjoys a range of hobbies including fishing, reading, cooking, baking, and creating art such as painting, drawing, and jewellery-making. Her diverse interests reflect her creative spirit and commitment to personal growth. As a Peer Mentor, Anastacia is dedicated to helping her participants learn new skills, navigate challenges, and find a supportive person to talk to. Her genuine care and enthusiasm make her a valued and compassionate Peer Mentor.

Brodie

Peer Mentor

Ava is currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education and is expected to complete this by 2026. When Ava is not supporting her participants, she enjoys reading, music, going on walks and watching movies/TV shows. Ava also has an extremely good memory – she can remember any plot to a movie even if it has been years since she has seen it. Ava is looking forward to being a Peer Mentor as she has
previously loved working as an education support teacher at a primary school and she has already supported students with disabilities and has seen how rewarding it can be. Ava is also looking forward to one-on-one time with participants in order to
build relationships and get to know them.

Caleb

Brodie

Peer Mentor

Brodie is currently pursuing a Certificate III in Individual Support, reflecting his commitment to understanding and supporting diverse needs within the community. Outside of his studies, Brodie is an avid fan of music, TV shows, movies, and sports, particularly basketball, AFL, and NFL. His love for music extends beyond listening—Brodie is proficient in playing both the guitar and drums. In addition to his musical talents, Brodie has a background in Chinese Mandarin. Brodie is excited to be a part of the Peer Mentor service, driven by his eagerness to deepen his knowledge about disability and to offer meaningful assistance to those in need. His diverse interests and skills make him a valuable member of the team, dedicated to making a positive impact.

Caleb

Peer Mentor

Caleb is currently planning to study a disability course and has previously completed studying a Certificate IV in Media in 2015. Caleb also has over 2 years of experience in the industry as a Peer Mentor. In his downtime, Caleb enjoys sports, particularly footy, cricket, and soccer, as well as video editing, movies and video gaming. Caleb loves being a Peer Mentor as his sister has a disability and seeing what her supports have done for her and seeing how happy it has made her motivated Caleb to start working in the industry.

Daniel

Connor

Peer Mentor

Connor is currently studying a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education and is expected to complete this by 2024. In his spare time, Connor enjoys sports, in particular footy & soccer, juggling, and any outdoor activities. Connor loves being a Peer Mentor as he enjoys being able to help his participants to make some great memories and become more independent within themselves. Connor also looks forward to creating positive relationships with other Peer Mentors and participants.

Daniel

Peer Mentor

Daniel brings over 3 years of sector experience as a Peer Mentor, complemented by his recent completion of a Certificate IV in Education Support. Currently serving as a Learning Support Officer at a primary school, Daniel is pursuing further qualifications with a Diploma of Mental Health. Beyond his professional endeavours, Daniel finds joy in basketball and expresses his creativity through photography. His dedication to mentoring stems from a deep satisfaction in witnessing personal growth and skill development among his participants.

Peer Mentor

Dylan recently completed a Sports Management & Leadership Double Diploma. As a dedicated Peer Mentor, he enjoys building relationships and helping others learn new skills. Dylan’s diverse interests include music (playing guitar and keyboard), sports, nature walks, gym workouts, video games, and movies. He is driven by a passion for peer support and aims for a fulfilling career in the field.

Finley

Peer Mentor

Finley is considering studying film in the future, however he is not currently completing any further studies. When Finley is not supporting his participants, he
loves playing and watching footy and soccer. Finley also enjoys movies, TV, video games, cooking, hiking, and history. Finley is passionate about being a Peer Mentor as he has a family member that is a Support Worker and has heard such positive feedback about being in the industry, which is what motivated Finley to become a Peer Mentor. Finley is also looking forward to getting out in the community with his participants.

Gab holds a Bachelor of Primary Education (2020) and a Certificate III in Sports Coaching (Equine, 2014). As a part-time primary school teacher since 2021, she combines her love for education with her role as a Peer Mentor. Gab is dedicated to supporting others, driven by her passion for helping people reach their goals. In her free time, she enjoys horse riding, painting, singing, dancing, and exploring the great outdoors. Her vibrant and compassionate approach helps build strong, supportive relationships with participants.

Keira earned her Certificate IV in Sport Coaching in 2018 and is now eager to deepen her knowledge in areas that enhance her role as a Peer Mentor. With a passion for horse riding, fitness, animals, and reading, Keira has also embraced the challenge of Spartan races and running. Her experience supporting an NDIS participant with horse riding highlighted the significant progress and personal growth possible through tailored support. Inspired by this success, Keira is excited to bring her dedication and enthusiasm to her role as a Peer Mentor, where she looks forward to making a positive impact on her participants’ journeys.

Kirsten is a compassionate individual who is currently pursuing her dream of becoming a paediatric nurse at Deakin University with an anticipated study completion in 2026. In her free time, Kirsten enjoys a variety of interests, including reading, listening to music, makeup artistry, shopping, drawing, going on walks, hitting the gym, and indulging in colouring. She particularly excels in makeup and loves giving her friends makeovers. Driven by her desire to care for those in need, Kirsten sees her role as a Peer Mentor as an opportunity to build meaningful relationships and provide companionship to those who require support.

Nathan is a dedicated 22-year-old Peer Mentor with over two years of experience supporting his participants. Recently, he earned a Certificate IV in Disability and completed a beginner’s course in Auslan, enhancing his skills and ability to assist those in need. Beyond his professional life, Nathan is a passionate individual with a range of interests, including gaming, anime, manga, music, computers, and Beyblades. He has a keen enthusiasm for singing and acting and possesses a unique talent for crafting balloon animals. Nathan’s love for his role as a Peer Mentor stems from his deep satisfaction in making a positive impact and contributing to a sector that values helping others.

Peri

Peer Mentor

Peri brings a blend of passion and personal experience to her role as a Peer Mentor. Peri is also excited to commence her academic pursuits by studying a Bachelor of Health Science with a long-term goal of transitioning to Occupational Therapy studies. Her interests range from surfing and beach hangouts to art and fashion, in particular going op shopping & thrifting. Peri also loves checking out new cafes and going for a coffee. She is inspired by family and friends in the sector, Peri is driven by a desire to support others, drawing from her own health journey and that of her loved ones. She finds joy in working with people and sees her role as a stepping stone towards her career goal in occupational therapy

Peer Mentor

Rhianna brings diverse experience to EPS, with prior roles in education and qualifications in dance, hairdressing, and law. Currently pursuing studies in disability and primary education, she is passionate about Peer Mentoring and making a positive impact. Beyond work, Rhianna enjoys sports, music (playing up to 10 instruments), dancing, cooking, and travel. She finds fulfilment in helping others with her passion for the sector stemming from growing up with a brother with a disability and as a result is really excited about making a positive impact with her participants.

Ryan

Peer Mentor

Ryan brings a diverse skill set to EPS, having previously completed an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design and recently achieving his Certificate IV in Disability. Outside of work, he finds joy in sports such as basketball, footy, and surfing, alongside hobbies like gaming and 4-wheel driving. With a musical background centred on guitar playing, Ryan is driven by his passion for Peer Mentoring, finding fulfilment in guiding participant growth over time.

Peer Mentor

With over 4 years of Peer Mentoring experience, Sam is a compassionate and knowledgeable asset to the team. While he isn’t currently studying, he is considering further studies in mental health. Beyond his role, Sam indulges in golf, AFL, fishing, movies, and loves the TV show Brooklyn 99. He prioritises spending time with friends, promoting mental health awareness, and engaging in board games. Sam’s dedication to the sector is deeply rooted in his upbringing, with family members also working in disability services. He finds joy in making a positive impact on others’ lives and eagerly anticipates the growth and progress of his participants.

Peer Mentor

Tayla is a dedicated registered nurse with a Postgraduate degree in ICU Nursing. With a passion for both her profession and personal interests, Tayla combines her clinical expertise with a vibrant personal life. She enjoys travelling, exploring the beach, appreciating art, and embracing the outdoors through hiking and rock climbing. Tayla is also a devoted pet parent to her beloved sausage dog, Frank. In her role as a Peer Mentor, Tayla thrives on engaging with the Geelong community, building meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact. Her enthusiasm for mentoring reflects her commitment to supporting and empowering others while contributing to the community she cherishes.

Tom is currently studying Biomedicine and is expected to complete this by the end of 2024. In the past, Tom has also completed a Certificate III in Allied Health. In his spare time, Tom enjoys sport, in particular basketball, footy, and cricket, food, science, video gaming, music and going to the beach. Tom loves being a Peer Mentor as he loves making relationships with people, growing connections and fostering independence while getting to spend time with unique individuals with a variety of different hobbies and interests.
